The Tower at Dubai Creek Harbour
Place Dynamix was appointed by Aurecon as the landscape architecture and aquatics specialist consultant for The Tower at Dubai Creek Harbour, designed by world-renowned architect Santiago Calatrava.
The building’s striking design includes a distinctive net of steel cable stays that attach to a central reinforced concrete column that will reach into the skies.
Challenge
The Tower at Dubai Creek Harbour is a signature architectural landmark. The project required landscape solutions that harmonise with its identity, enhance arrival and public spaces, and deliver a refined, climate-aware user experience in a high-density waterfront context.
Our Role
Place Dynamix provided landscape architectural design around the tower’s public realm, focusing on pedestrian thresholds, visual coherence, planting strategy and microclimate performance.
Key Moves
- Entry plazas and pedestrian connections to the waterfront
- Introduced adaptive planting and shade strategies to support comfort
- Coordinated materials, paving and furniture to ensure architectural harmony
- Integrated water-edge experiences and repose areas for everyday use
Impact
The landscape setting strengthens the tower’s gateway presence and public engagement, elevating the precinct’s overall experience and supporting long-term urban identity.
