Arjan is located within the wider framework of Dubailand and is located adjacent to the Butterfly Gardens and Miracle Garden. There is a significant existing road network, infrastructure and buildings. The completion of a cost-effective and functional public realm is critical to the long term success of the development.

‍Challenge

Arjan District requires a cohesive landscape and streetscape approach that unifies its mixed-use, residential and leisure components — balancing everyday movement, shade and amenity in an evolving neighbourhood fabric.

Our Role

Place Dynamix delivered streetscape concept design and landscape strategy, focusing on shade, planting cohesion, pedestrian priority and identity across the district.

Key Moves

• Designed public corridors and pedestrian paths prioritising comfort
• Introduced tree frameworks and adapted planting palettes
• Programming of the public open space is driven by providing the basic needs and wants of the community
