Place Dynamix are working alongside the lead engineer on this extensive mixed-use master planned community in Sharjah. The 2.2 sqkm master plan located beside University City will home 70,000 people and is Sharjah’s largest ever mixed-use development with a sales value of 24bn AED. The unique proposal is expected to completely change the current real estate market and the housing mix currently available to residents and investors. Delivered in phases starting from 2019, construction on Aljada began in the first quarter of 2018 and the entire project is expected to be completed by 2025. Aljada is an all-encompassing district that comprises considerable retail, hospitality, leisure and entertainment options, in addition to a wide range of residential and commercial offerings, such as a dedicated business park.
Place Dynamix are appointed to provide full landscape architecture services across the whole project, including the design of all street public realm, open spaces, the sales centre activity hub, skate park, water features and apartment courtyards. The total green spaces in the project are above the average allowance in residential communities and residents will be able to access over 250,000 sqm of parks and open space. We are also providing a number of design and technical advisory services to the extensive 200,000 sqm Central Hub, an exciting centrepiece of the project with over 10 major attractions, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects.
We have worked closely with the client to recycle as much of the existing plant stock on the site, including a site survey of all trees to assess their condition and survival rates. This has resulted in the identification of a number of mature native trees that will be transplanted within the site to their new location either within open spaces or streets.
