Place Dynamix were appointed to provide full master plan services with additional concept architecture and landscape architecture to a high profile wellbeing and spa hotel brand. The resort design was based around the protection and rehabilitation of the existing beach coastline that had been eroded over time.
The proposal was for an exclusive and secluded resort was focused on a high luxury wellbeing experience. The 100 key hotel provided a mix of over-water villas and beach villas as well as garden suites and a unique treehouse tent experience. The large spa in secluded part and a collection of clustered buildings for lobby reception and 2 restaurants were provided in the centre of the site. The restaurant overhung the water to provide a unique dining experience.
The concept landscape architecture proposal included a predominant use of local tree species and the recycling of all on-site plant material. The architectural concepts were also focused on sustainability and locally sourced materials. Such targets are central to the ethos and business practice of the hospitality client.
