Waterfronts, corniches and coastal
Waterfronts form the cultural and historical heart of many traditional cities and in modern context can provide unencumbered pedestrian spaces, tranquil waterside environments and long reaching views to skylines. Our team has worked on waterfront projects of varying scale, type and location around the world and we are passionate about the regenerative opportunities that waterfront development can bring to cities.
In Qatar we have been preparing landscape proposals to conserve and protect an environmentally sensitive stretch of 7km coastline in the south of the country as well as plans to extend the ever popular Corniche. In east Asia, our company Chairman has been involved in various urban waterfront proposals including regeneration, planning and design projects to develop some of the most iconic waterfront locations in Hong Kong, for example, Causeway Bay and East Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon.
